Next Generation:  Cord Blood

You are the #NEXTGENERATION!

Life is changing. The world is changing. You need to be ready to change with it!
Perhaps you have already watched as a close friend or family member suffered with cancer, sickle cell anemia or a serious neurological injury and wished desperately you could help. You can.

Cord blood is changing the way we do medicine. Learn about it. Get involved. Help.

Far from Science-Fiction. . .

Educate yourself.

Step one: Educate yourself.  The science behind cord blood stem cells is often misrepresented in the media. Get the facts. Learn about the science behind this amazing, natural, non-controversial medical resource.

Discover the exciting science of cord blood.

Cord blood can do amazing things!  It is already being used to treat over 80 different diseases including many blood cancers. In fact, there have been over 35,000 cord blood transplants worldwide since the pioneer researcher, Dr. Eliane Gluckman performed the first cord blood transplant in 1988! That's a lot!

Today, not only is cord blood being used to treat diseases like leukemia, sickle cell anemia and lymphoma, it is also at the center of exciting regenerative medicine research! Doctors around the world are exploring the very real possibility of using cord blood for diseases like diabetes, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, hearing loss, stroke. . . the list goes on. Sounds like science-fiction, right? Cord blood could be the key to making this happen. Your generation will be the ones to benefit, if it does.

Learn about how medicine is changing. Learn about cord blood.

Bring #NEXTGENERATION to your school.

At Save the Cord Foundation, we encourage students to learn about cord blood in lots of different ways. Join us for a free Share the Science webinar (designed for health professionals but so relevant for students who have an interest in learning about the biology, medicine and science behind cord blood.).

Better yet. . . why not bring NEXT GENERATION: Cord Blood to your school?  We have several programs adapted to a wide range of ages. A day dedicated to cord blood education in your school would not only be interesting and different, it would help raise awareness on the importance of public cord blood donation and the potential benefits of private cord blood banking with regards to regenerative medicine.

Tell you teacher to visit us at www.NextGenerationCordBlood.org to learn more.

Join the cord blood movement.

There is more than one way to help us get the word out about cord blood:  hold a fundraiser, create a science project based on cord blood (we can share it on social media, if you like), volunteer/intern with Save the Cord Foundation, join us on social media and share key posts with your family and friends. . .

Get involved.
